Question: "I have read everything here, and still have a question. Who should I ask?"
Answer: It depends. If it is about anything having to do with signing up for the class, wait lists, adding or dropping, etc., please contact the Physics Department Student Affairs staff via the
Virtual Advising Center link here. If it is anything having to do with quiz or final scores (as posted on TED), contact your TA.
For everything else, contact Ken.
Question: "Can I go to the lecture, and/or discussion session and problem session, for the other team's session?"
Answer: Yes, assuming that there are enough seats for the enrolled students.
Question: "Can I take my quiz at the other team's session?" Answer: Probably not. Definitely not on a regular basis. Maybe once, if you have a very good reason for needing to do it, you might try asking Ken or the TAs for an exception. The answer will be "no" if it's during the first few quizzes, but might be "yes" later in the quarter.
Question: "I looked up Ken on ratemyprofessors.com and see comments there that the class lectures are boring, with too many derivations. Is that true? Also, someone there said they could "totally" see Ken as a character on Big Bang Theory. Really? Answer: Well, they say there's no such thing as a dumb question but - sorry - this "question" is an embarrassment. First of all, there are no derivations or "proofs'' (those are for mathematicians), just explanations of the concepts and how to apply them. Moreover, the lectures are just chock full of fun examples, physics demos, intuition, enthusiasm, possible quiz hints, and amusing jokes. Skipping class is a recipe for disaster. Any perceived similarities with Sheldon Cooper, or any other fictional character, are just a figment of your imagination.
