Suggested books: Polchinski; Green, Schwarz, and Witten. These are on reserve at the Marlar Library (CASS).

Course grade will be based on weekly assignments, and possibly also an oral final exam.

This class will cover basic properties of strings and superstrings, mostly using properties of the 2d worldsheet quantum field theory.
