Text: A First Course in String Theory (2nd edition) , by Barton Zwiebach. I have requested that it be put on reserves at Giesel.

Course Times : MW 11:00-12:20 pm, MYR-A 2623. Midterm (tentative): Weds May 8. Final: Friday 6/14: 11:30-2:30.

Grading: Weekly HW will be assigned (no late HWs will be accepted). There will also be occasional in-class quizzes, and a final exam. Homework: 20%; midterm: 30%; final exam: 50%. Feel free to work in groups on the HW, but you still need to turn in your own work: do not just copy other's. Also, copying from online solutions etc is strictly not allowed. Violations will be referred to the academic integrity office.
